Missionary Jamie Knickerbocker will be speaking about her first ever experience with an earthquake in Kathmandu, Nepal. The time is from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015. There has been a change in the menu. Fried chicken will be served along with a variety of salads, baked beans, and desserts.

My husband and I will not be able to attend to due his mother’s funeral being held in West Virginia that same day.

Florida Residents Mark Your Calendars

For those of you who have seen my posts about the Knickerbocker family, missionaries to Nepal, you know that Jamie and the children are back in Florida for a couple of months until the threat of swine flu has passed and living conditions are safer.

Jamie’s husband Luke was the pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Lake Placid, Florida until God called him to the mission field. Now Luke is still in Kathmandu, helping local villages rebuild, buying tarp and water. They need our help and have a gofundme page.

Jamie will be at Bethel Baptist Church to speak at a ladies’ luncheon on Saturday, May 23 from 11:30-2:00. In an effort to help their efforts to help the people of Nepal recover from this disaster, there will be $10 charge for adults to eat, $5 for children. A nursery will be provided. There will also be a love offering taken. Jamie will be sharing her experiences in Nepal. The men will be serving the ladies. The menu is chicken salad, soup, and Southern Banana Pudding for dessert.
