I’m only 62, but some days my body parts moan and complain, and cause me a lot of pain. I’m too young to have so many problems, and I know it’s my own fault. Although I used to play outside a lot as a kid, go bike riding, climb trees, have races in my yard, go for walks–for most of my life I’ve been a sedentery person, still am. Most of my day (except work days) are taken up with the computer. I know this is not healthy but I feel obligated to encourage and support other authors. I do delete the ones that really don’t relate to me or that are of a nature that I can’t support, but many of them have become internet friends and I don’t want to slight them.
I said all of that to say that, even though I often feel overwhelmed and incapable of finding a balance between other activities and internet “work”, I am thankful that I am healthy enough to work two days a week. I’m thankful for my job. I’m thankful for the internet friends and contacts I have made. I am thankful for a heavenly Father who is patient, and sometimes wakes me up at 3:00 in the morning because it’s the only time He can get my attention. I am thankful for His patience.
