Bio: Who I Am: A former introvert, a klutz, a foodie (especially junk food, but trying half-heartedtly to break the addiction). I've wanted to be a writer ever since I read Nancy Drew books in elementary school. My dad wanted me to be a secretary. He said writers don't make any money, but secretaries do (not!). I was a homely kid, shy, awkward, and bullied by some girls. No self-confidence until I got to know Jesus my Savior. Married 51 years (so far). 6 grandchildren, 3 greats, and one on the way. Love life, Jesus, nature, horses, cats, birds, dogs (belonging to other people). I love watching the hummingbirds. I love my church and everyone in it. I like people, care about people, and want to be a friend, not just a writer/author. This blog is a showcase for my writing, as well as an attempt to follow other writers and photographers. This blog is also about sharing ideas and encouragement. I write inspirational fiction about real life situations, trying to show how God wants to help us through difficult times if we will only let Him. God hates sin but loves the sinner, which we all are. Married 46 years, 2 kids, 6 grandkids. Author of 2 novels, working on a trilogy, children's picture books, and more. Love my God (Jesus), family and church. "Vengeance" is is in the process of a total re-write including new title so is not currently available unless someone is selling their copy. "Mending Fences" available in e-book format from Amazon.com. It is contemporary inspirational family drama. Currently working on a trilogy family saga spanning four generations.   7. Yes, I met you on Chris’s site. I’m still learning about SEO’s, and don’t know if I even need to worry about it at this point. I have so much writing to do, but currently I’m busy with grandkids and helping family get ready for a move from one farm to another. Plan to keep up with you.

  8. I’m here because I read your comment regarding domestic abuse on another blog, and wanted to thank you for speaking truth. I was married to a Christian–we were in church every Sunday–and no one knew how abusive and controlling he was; that I walked on eggshells, lived in fear. I left the week before our 3rd anniversary–and never told anyone why because No One asked. It was assumed that because I had no bruises, and because he maintained the appearance of a perfect Christian husband–I must have left for reasons that were not legitimate. I didn’t leave for another man, and I left with nothing–slept on the floor till I could afford a mattress. It wasn’t till years later, after a near-successful suicide attempt, that I told a therapist about my marriage. It’s been 38 years, and I never remarried–have no trust; and I’m not lonely, because I have an intimate relationship with Jesus. Sorry if I’ve revealed too much here–you can always delete. The Church needs to get behind women who are abused and care for them. God bless you.

    1. Thank you, Russ. With all that you have been through, you might enjoy my novel, “Mending Fences,” an e-book on Amazon. It is also a story of heartache and overcoming. I purchased your book after reading the sample. I will definitely be recommending it to others. I don’t know if you have a friend in Jesus or not. I never make assumptions. I can tell you from my own personal experience that He truly is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. In my darkest times it is His strength, His promises from His word that have seen me through. I highly recommend His fellowship.

  11. I was the clumsy introvert also. We tell our stories and our dreams in our writing … our salvation. I love what you’re doing by helping kids rise above the awkward, frightening stage of growing up that so many of us suffered through. Your writing is a miracle for our blessed youth! Thank you so much for helping my character, Annie, as well. Times may change, but the problems remain. I hope you will send me an email address so I can send you “Annie’s Story, Blessed With A Gift”, a little girl lost in her world, growing up with hopes and dreams, but dealing with the fear and stigma of birth defects. History does repeat itself, and we must help the children.

    1. Thank you so much for your response. I am rather inept at electronic technology. I created a second page to my blog but nothing ever seems to get put there, and I’m not sure how to put anything there any more. I’m not even sure if it still exists. I am praying that your book really takes off! My heart goes out to those who are born with defects (my great nephew was born with severe scoliosis. His internal organs were even out of place because of it. But he is such a sweet, lovable little boy who seems to take most everything in stride (except when his upper body cast has to be changed so he can grow). They are also discovering other problems. He will be an only child. I don’t have Outlook on my computer and can’t keep up with two email addresses, but would love to chat with you.

      1. Thank you so much for your interest in children and my little Annie. I understand about health issues totally consuming your time, energy, and perspective. I have several autoimmune diseases, including SLE Lupus. I do advise young women with chronic conditions because I have been fighting back and researching for 28 years. I almost lost the fight this past August, but happy to say I’m recovering when doctors thought all hope was lost. Never underestimate the power of prayer, faith, and just plain stubbornness. My mobility is restricted, but I am happy with my life editing and launching new writers with potential and writing my own fiction, which is my passion. A kindle edition of Annie is on its way to you. It can also be read on a free kindle app from amazon on your computer. Please, leave a review. That helps me very much.     1. I used to be an introvert, or at least far more so than I am now. When I asked Jesus the Christ to save my soul, I found complete, unconditional acceptance for the first time in my life. He taught me to accept myself because He doesn’t make junk. Therefore I can reach out and be more friendly to others. I no longer have to fear rejection.
