Time is Running Out

According to prophecies in the Bible, I believe we are living in the Last Days, or the End Times.  The photo above is an erupting volcano.  The description of hell in the Bible is very much like the way I picture the inside of a volcano that is getting ready to blow its top.  This is where all unbelievers (those who have rejected Jesus Christ as their saviour) will spend eternity.

This is not the kind of post I normally write, but I feel it is what God wants me to do.  He is my Heavenly Father and I feel an urgency in these days to obey Him more than ever before.  You see, our time on earth is running out.  Bible prophecy is being fulfilled on what seems to me a monthly basis, if not more often.

So please bear with me.  Have someone close to you read this blog to you as you close your eyes and imagine the scene I am going to describe.

You’re in a brilliantly lit room, thousand watt lights illuminate everything around you.  In the center of the room is a pure white marble throne.  The God of the universe, Master Creator, is standing before it while you kneel before Him.

Picture your Creator, the Holy One who sent His only begotten Son to take your punishment for sin, which you have rejected, putting it off for a more convenient time.  “Maybe someday” you have told yourself again and again.  God Almighty, the only just and true judge, has an enormous television screen behind Him.  It is showing your life from beginning to now—every detail, everything you have ever said or done.  He points His finger first at the screen, then at you.

The room is filled with gasps and weeping as onlookers snicker at the times you have not been completely honest.  “Silence!” God shouts.  And then He points you toward the lake of fire and tells you, “Your sentence is eternity in hell.”

“But, Sir,” you begin.  “I know I’ve done some bad things, but I did a lot of good things too.  I helped my neighbors; I gave to the Children’s Fund, I gave food and clothing to the homeless.  Doesn’t that count for something?”

God the Father points to His Son, Jesus, and says, “See the nail prints in His hands and feet? See the scar in his side where the soldiers thrust the sword? Those are wounds He took willingly to save you from hell, but you thought you could earn that sacrifice.  Well, you can’t.  No one can earn the torture my Son went through for you.  Look at the screen.  Do you see all the times I sent someone to you to tell you how to get to heaven? Do you remember being told that Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh to the Father, but by me?’ Ah, I see you do remember.  You are spending eternity in torment because you rejected my Son.  Be gone.”

Dear reader, your only chance to escape the horrors that are yet to come (read the book of Revelation in the King James Bible) is tell Jesus you’re a sinner (Romans 3:10, 12; Ecclesiastes 7:20), apologize to Him for your sin, realize that He did take your punishment on the cross and thank Him for it, and ask Him to save your soul.  You could pray something like this:  “Dear God, I know I’m a sinner and I am truly sorry for my sin.  Jesus, thank You for taking my punishment so I can go free. Please forgive me and make me Your child.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

If you have prayed that prayer and meant it, it is important that you find a local church to attend that uses the King James Bible, and believes that is the entire word of God without error.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by replying below.  You don’t have to use your real name if you don’t want to.  God knows you.  He loves you.  God is not willing that any should perish.  He takes no pleasure in sending people to hell.  2 Peter 3:9.

I will share the prophecies in the next post.
