Readers of Historical Fiction…

Hi, everyone.  Thank you for joining me today.  As you know, I don’t often try to draw attention to myself, but today is an exception.

I need the help of my friends and fans.  I just posted the last chapter of Frienemies on Chapter Buzz, where writers can post their works in progress and get feedback.  But I also need feedback from readers who are not writers.  Tell me what works and what doesn’t.  Tell me what you think of the characters in the story.  Are they too much alike, not enough depth? I can handle the truth as long as it’s done constructively (please no cursing or put-downs, just the facts).

If you go to Chapter Buzz and read a chapter if you like it click “buzz” at the bottom of the chapter and leave a comment.  You can also leave me a comment here on the blog.  I’ll be happy to hear from you.  If you just don’t like it, if it isn’t your brand of pudding, that’s okay.  We all have different tastes in just about everything.

Frienemies is a post Civil War story set in rural West Virginia.  It is a story, of murder, deceit, jealousy, and love.  Who is out to destroy Fawn Jackson? Why is someone trying to take her property?  Forensics wasn’t a known science at that time so solving the crimes isn’t easy.  Are Fawn and her grandmother still in danger? How can Fawn protect her grandmother when she has to work away from home to provide for them? Who can she trust? How long will she have to endure all the hardships before the culprit is caught and brought to justice?

Two men are in love with Fawn.  Which one will win her heart?

Here’s the link to read my novel, and the novels of many others on Chapter Buzz.  Vote for the ones you like.  Happy reading!

Hope to hear from you soon.
