Truth or Consequences

Some of us grew up watching the TV show with the above title. It was posed as a question. I really don’t remember much about the show other than that. But there is truth, and living without it brings consequences.

This message is primarily for Christians because we have the responsibility of bringing/taking God’s truth to a lost and dying world.

Fact #1: The devil is real and he has an agenda for us as individuals and for this country, and for the rest of the world.

Fact #2: God also has a plan.

Fact #3: Just as Israel was founded on a contract with Almighty God, Jehovah, so also was the United States of America. The contract was that if we would follow God’s teachings, obey His rules (thus having a RELATIONSHIP with Him), then He would make us a great nation, protect us from our enemies, and bless us far above every other nation (except Israel). Not obeying Him leads to loss of respect in the eyes of the world, great devastation (think years of drought, famine, widespread disease(s) with little or no cure), severe weather at strange times in strange places, with great destruction and loss of life. Evil will become more prevalent as Christianity loses its impact because we become more like the world and less like Christ.

Fact #4: Judgment will come. It will begin in the house of God. Why is atheism growing? Why are fewer and fewer people attending Bible-believing/preaching churches? Answer: because there is so little difference between church-goers and the people who don’t attend church. The world sees us as a bunch of hypocrites, and the world may be right.

Fact #5: God will hold His children, Christians, responsible for the demise of the world when we treat Him like a celestial Santa Claus. “God, just give me what I want. I’ll say thanks and let you know when I need you. Until then, please leave me alone, and let me do my own thing. As long as I pray and go to a church (doesn’t matter what kind as long as the preacher uses a liberal translation of the Bible, and doesn’t say anything that will make me want to change anything in my life), You should be happy.” And God says, “Well, if that’s what you want, that’s what you’ll get. I’ll stay out of your life and you can suffer the consequences. Just remember, you will stand before me some day, and give an account of whether you’ve lived your life for yourself or for me. I love you too much to force myself on you. I have given you my true word (which I sealed and admonished in four different places not to be changed).

The following is a list of verses, quoted and copied in part from my Bible program e-sword (free download: that show God’s feelings when we refuse to obey His word. BTW, Heb_10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.  This is not an option. It does not say, do this if it’s convenient, or if you feel like it, or if you think it’s important. If you are able to go to church and refuse to go on a regular basis, you CANNOT be in fellowship with God because you are being disobedient. When you walk in disobedience, you are not in fellowship. It’ simple. When your child deliberately disobeys you, repeatedly, do you have a close relationship with that child?

Here are the other verses: Gen_42:22  And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.
Deu_1:43  So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill. Isa_28:12  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
Isa_30:15  For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
Jer_29:19  Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD. Mat_23:37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Luk_13:34  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

Even though these were written to the Jews, the bottom line is, God expects us as Christians, to live in fellowship with Him. Otherwise, what is the point of salvation? If the point of salvation was just getting into heaven, God would have killed us immediately and taken us home to live with Him. He left us here to serve Him (not ourselves).

If you call yourself an evangelical Christian, then you need to be in church, learning more and more about your heavenly Father, drawing closer to Him, being more active in fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ, and supporting missions (evangelizing) and telling others about Him. That’s what it means to be an evangelical Christian. .

Election is approaching rapidly and I am gravely concerned about the future of our great nation. If you are a Christian, PLEASE purchase a copy of the documentary called Agenda (here’s the link:      There are two documentaries now, showing and detailing the philosophies, people, and organizations who are deliberately and desperately seeking the demise of this country.  I would also encourage everyone who is on any form of Welfare to see these documentaries.  One other thing I would encourage every Bible-believing person to read is a book and study guide by  Jonathan Cahn: “The Harbinger.” I would encourage all pastors to get the DVD series or the CD’s, or even just the books and hand them out to their members.

I have written this because I love people and I love this country. I am gravely concerned for the future and welfare of both. It is not with criticism or judgmentalism, but rather with great compassion and love that I write these words. Please, dear reader, share this with others. Let’s get God’s message out before it’s too late. Maybe it already is, but we have to try.
