The luncheon will still be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 216 E. Park Street, Lake Placid, FL 33852. Missionary Jamie Knickerbocker will be speaking about her first ever experience with an earthquake in Kathmandu, Nepal. The time is from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015. The church is located behind Chef Buddy’s Italian Restaurant on Interlake Blvd.
A charge of $10 for adults, or $5 for children will be taken at the door for the dinner. However, if someone wants to attend and is unable to pay, no one will be turned away. A love offering will be taken up later.
There has been a change in the menu. Fried chicken will be served along with a variety of salads, baked beans, and desserts.
My husband and I will not be able to attend to due his mother’s funeral being held in West Virginia that same day.
