Just a quick note: I am posting this because: 1) The Viet Nam Conflict was one of the worst wars our soldiers ever fought in and they were treated shamefully by our own people upon their return; 2) My husband was in the U.S. Coast Guard during that time, and only by the grace of … Continue reading A Book for War Story Readers

My friend Frank Taylor was in town over the Thanksgiving holiday, having flown in from South Africa. With his wife Karen, Frank has spent the years since 2009 circumnavigating the globe aboard a 50-foot catamaran called Tahina, an adventure chronicled with spectacular photography on the Tahina Expedition blog. To All Self-Publish(ed, ing) Authors: This is great information. Good to know there is more than one venue for self-publishing online.
If you are in the area, check out this author and listen to her book talk for only $3. As stated in the article, she has four titles available for sale. They all sound like good reads.
I will be giving a book talk at the Boone County Historical Society on Saturday, December 20th as the fifth speaker in the ‘Meet the Author’ book talk series. The Boone County Historical Society and Museum is located at 3801 Ponderosa Street, in historic Nifong Park (Columbia, MO).
I will speak inside the Montminy Art Gallery (Currently featuring the artwork of Bryan Haynes) from 10:30 to 11:30. Doors will open at 10 am for free coffee. At this time Harold’s Doughnuts will also be selling their amazing pastries. I will sell and sign books following my talk. In addition, The museum will then be open for guests to enjoy the current exhibit “A Bell Rings Out: 150 Years of Boone County Education” (at no additional charge).
I currently have four titles available. Outsider Mysteries – “In the Shadows” and “Where Secrets Reside,” suspense/thriller novel “Liars’ Games” and my most recent…

No Expiration Date on Prayer. Pressed from "Let's Talk" on StumbleUpon. Very good devotion on Zechariah's seeming lack of fatih when the angel Gabriel announced that Zechariah and his wife would have a child (in their old age). This is encouragement for all of us who begin to think, after praying for weeks, months or … Continue reading No Expiration Date on Prayer
