This topic is difficult and hard to read about, but it is cruel, and its victims need to know that it does matter, and that there is healing available. Those victims need to know that they are not alone. Their pain is real, the consequences of the actions of others, the impact of those situations, last a lifetime and perpetrators need to know how their actions affect those they have hurt.
